I am wondering if anybody here has tried using the berger 168 gr vld bullet with this cartrige in a factory rifle with any success. I have tried using 162 gr a-max with very little success in the accuracy department and wanto give the bergers a shot.

I've shot the Berger 180's in a custom rifle 30" 1-8twist. I used 64 gr of H1000. this load works well. Best score at 1000 yds 75/14V out of 75/15V. Try the Berger 168's, they are likely a bit better bullet than the a-maxs. H1000 may be a tad too slow for the 168's. Maybe try something around RL22 or even H4831.

I have a 26" barrel with a 1-9.5 twist. I tried the h4831sc with the amax. I worry that the twist rate of this riflle may be a little slow to shoot the heavier bullets. The berger website recomends a 1-10 twist but am curious what velocities i should be looking at to get theese bullets to stabalize.
