Could you say that these two are twins (other then the action size)

Does one have an advantage over the other when it comes to reloading?

Thanks

the 7mm Rem mag has more capacity,so when pushed will yeild higher velosity. The 7mm rem will still be here in 5 years, the 7mm saum probably won't

Likely the wisest point made so far. Even if you reload, brass may get scarce some day and cost a premium.

When I was reloading a lot of 300 Sav a few years ago, it was tough to find brass and when I did, the price I paid!!!

7saum is an easy cartridge to load for, as is the 7mm Rem Mag. With the SAUM I had, I got great results with anything from 100 grain hollowpoints over RL15, to 175 grain Noslers over Retumbo, and anythign in between. A 150 grain @ 3150 fps isnt unrealistic in the SAUM. 7mm Rem Mag can be loaded a bit faster as mentioned due to more powder capacity but the difference is slim.

SAUM is a hell of a cartridge too bad it wont be around much longer.
