Hello
Anybody loading any 7 PRC with H1000?
Having a hard time finding data , other than Hornady.
I’ve got 168 g Barnes TSX tipped and Berger 180 g VLD hunter .
Lots of H1000 and a couple lbs RL26.

Thanks

Have you tried running it through GRT ? It’s what I tend to do based on the bullets I’ve got on hand.

You will likely have to as the case and the projectiles but will get you ball park.

So far I’ve been using the Hornady data but based on factory ammo ,their data is not as hot as factory.

I haven’t yet but this is my plan once I get brass and my rifle is done. I have a jug of H1000 and some 175 gr ELD-X ready to go.
I just tryed those, not the best.
I feel the Hornady max load listed in their manual, is not hot enough.
Gonna try them again tomorrow, increasing powder charge and seating depth.

I had really good results with ELD-X in 6.5 creed. Seating depth did make a pretty big difference though. I’ve found the Hornady manuals to be pretty conservative when it comes to max loads.

same here, but so far the Hornady 180 match factory ammo and 175 ELD-X has been average.

Anybody try loading 7PRC with regular LRP? I’ve got lots of CCI 200s but no magnums. I see some people are getting good results with regular LRP in 7PRC and similar sized cartridges over on snipers hide and accurateshooter. Just curious if anyone here has tried that combo. I’ll try CCI 250 eventually, but not at $600/1k or whatever they are now.

I’m gonna try with LRP tomorrow, not having much luck so far, gonna see if the primers make any difference.
I know it did in my 6.5 PRC

I just tryed the LRP and the two 5 round groups, one with LRP and the other with LRP magnum were almost identical.
66 grains of H1000.

I use regular LRPs (BR2s and 210Ms) in my 300 PRC, and it's a bigger case. Found that the regular LRPs got noticeably better ES/SDs than 250s and 215Ms.
That being said, if I was going to use it in the winter I'd use magnum primers to ensure good ignition in the cold.

Good to know. Factory ammo (brass) should be here next week and rifle hopefully within a few weeks. Can’t wait to start playing around with this. I’m not super concerned about cold weather performance. Late season deer is all I’ll be doing in cold temps and I’ll use something else for that.
