I just bought a Ruger #1 International in 7x57 I went to the local Canadian Tire and they don't stock that round. I know the sporting stores would be quite expensive so I need to find some New brass in 7x57 Mauser. Anyone know where I can get that brass and components, and RCBS dies in the Fraser Valley or online ? I checked our Sponsors but didn't see anything. Thanks, Jack

"...Ruger #1 International in 7x57..." Nice.
7mm Mauser is the same thing as 7x57. Epp's lists ammo and brass under that name. Your local gun shops may be doing the same thing.
Not a usual Crappy Tire product(sometimes though), but if the clerk(more likely the Department Mgr) knows anything, they can order ammo. Never known a CT that carried any reloading stuff.
I'd still go to a local gun shop. Try and order more than one box of brass. Five or so might get you a better price.
Dies may need to be ordered. Uses an RCBS #3 shell holder when you get that far. Bullets aren't uncommon.

Thanks for the link tiriaq. I was just looking at my 4th addition Hornady handbook and noticed on page 268 that the picture of the two bullets are reversed. Also the Ballistic coefficient seems off. I would think the BTHP would have the higher coefficient over a soft point. Higginsonpowders lists#2845 as 162 gr. BTSP. I hate discrepancy's in loading manuals.

Locally Reliable in Van, Italian (Van too) or Hub in Abby all carry loading stuff. Then again you could buy from Wholesale in Calgary and save a wad. I have used all of them. Or post an ad on the EE-that works too. Deals to be had at the HACS shows in Burnaby monthly too-some real good deals there.

Prvi Partizan is probably one of the best and cheapest factory loads to buy, if you can find it.

They load their ammo hotter to European specs, rather than the watered down versions of the North American ammo makers.

Their brass is supposed to be quite good for reloading too.

got to go,

Since you're in the Fraser Valley, you might give Dave Friesen at bcredneck.com in Chillliwack a call. (His cell is best: 604.316.1910).
