I shot the 7x57 tonight with Nosler Partition's at 100 yards prone off the bi-pod and it shot 11/16's of an inch first 2 shots down the tube. :D I never shot any Nosler's until tonight so I think I will not mess with the formula...41 grains of Varget under the 140 Partition and Federal LR primers. Love it when a plan comes together.

It was worked up with different 140 grain bullets, once I got decent accuracy I switched over to Nosler.
The book says 37.7 grains of Varget but I gradually worked up past that in MY rifle.
There is no pressure sign and there is easy extraction and the fired brass goes back into the rifle easily.
What were you concerned about Johan ???
My rifle is not an older military rifle it's a 700 Remington

Glad to see you using partitions John i swear by them in all my rifles, never had a problem with accuracy. I do shoot other bullets but only for fun and because of cost but for hunting i use partitions only. Nice to here that 7x57 is working out fine.

Hey guy, a couple of questions. Do any checking of case dimensions before and after shooting those loads? And, were the bullets seated out a little further than the suggested C.O.L. to minimize the free bore?
