7X57 RIMMED! Why is this so hard to find? I have not found ANY IN ALL OF CANADA! Not even Brass? can someone help me out here?? so many awesome guns chambered in it, not sure why its a unicorn. Thanks for any help, direction or connections!

Have you really looked? I believe Intersurplus a banner supporter at the top of the page has it in stock.

I'm not really expecting a reply, 28 posts in 6 years????

Just so you know, you can use ''rimless'' 7x57 cases in those chambers as they're identical, other than the rims.

You just have to extract them by hand as the extractors on the combo guns chambered won't reach under the rim of the rimless type.

I should caution though, some of the rifles I've done this with seem to have deeper chambers and the firing pin can't reach the primer.

Yes i have a list of stores across canada and I checked every single one, intersuplus only has dies, no ammo and no brass. Why the dig on posts? I work my ass off to make a life for my 3 kids and wife and try to enjoy life a little too... not all of us post lots... however I have personally escorted over 10 people into the world of shooting and hunting in the last 2 years, in case you were wondering about my contribution to the sport.
Good to know about the rimless, I had that thought but don't have the gun yet to check. Thanks for the info, and I appreciate the time you took to answer. Information and wisdom is what I am a member for.

I do do reloading for some of my rifles, would you need to fire form them?

Are you asking about 303Brit cases resized to 7x57R?? NO, the die will size them for you, but you're going to have to trim the case mouths to length.

Once you've shot them, they will be fireformed to be perfect for your chamber and then you only need to neck resize.

You're right. The last time I picked up 7x57R was from Tradex and I assumed their stock went to Intersurplus, my bad.

I bought some hard to find brass from these folks in Australia.

Maybe WhelanLad could help you out??

They were good to deal with and it took a couple of months to get the brass cases I ordered through them here to Canada

Easy to form from 303 brass.

Rather than full-length resizing, I resize the neck just a bit at a time until the rifle just barely closes on the resized case. That way you will not have any headspace issues.

This is good advice but some are reluctant to use this approach, which IMHO is perfectly safe and works very well.

Awesome thanks! Rmack might have a box or two, but I definitely have 303 so as soon as the gun comes in I will get started! Thanks a bunch - I know I can always get the help I need from this group!
