8-40 screw wanted

Hay gents I need one 8-40 screw for a scope base. If anyone has they would like to part with pm me and we can work something out for it

Kev, what head style do you need? Filister (bottom of head is flat)? Socket Weaver oval (countersunk)? And what length? I'm guessing 1/4" if it's for a scope base.

from what type of scope base i may have some lying around - not sure how to measure them to see if its a 8-40

Use a dial caliper or micrometer to see if it is .164" (#8) diameter, and check the pitch with a thread gauge to see if it is 40...that's how I'd do it.
