8.5" Grizzly tube fed 12 guage question.

"...3 rounds in the tube..." Why bother? A shotgun with an 8.5" barrel is useless for hunting anything but criminals in a phone booth. In any case, you can't hunt migratory birds with a shotgun that holds 3 rounds. Assuming that was your plan. Ontario won't let you hunt anything with a 3 round mag either.

Wow.

'Cause the ONLY reason to have a shotgun is to hunt right? 'Course I COULD carry the type of gun your type likes while hiking/prospecting, but that 30" barrelled shiny wing master with the roll mark engraving and "hunting suitable" 2 round tube is a ##### to get through the bush. Of course I guess I could always club the bear with it......

Tis the hunting and sporting forum but you do make a valid point

When you ask a question on how to do something, most replies are from those not smart enough to know the answer, but smart enough to say you are stupid to ask.

Yup, just remove that little plastic "crown".

In bc it is illegal to hunt with a firearm with barrel length shorter than 12.5"...

If you're carrying a gun for defense (IMHO) you should have a round chambered. Just my opinion.

To each their own, but I respectfully disagree about the chambered round. Safeties can fail and a fall could cause an unintended discharge. Fine motor skills go out the window when under extreme stress. I carry all the time hiking, full mag, empty chamber, uncocked and safety off. For me it's easier to rack and point then try and manipulate a tiny button under stress when time is of the essence. Just my opinion.

you can trim the black retainer and trim the folower a little and fit 3 shells, i put a small dab of white out on the threads on the tube mag cap to stop it from backing off but still be undoable buy hand

I had a 8.5" and this mod did not appeal to be because the mag cap relies on this plunger for retention.

I hate that when my "plunger" relies on someone else's for "retention".

Why would anyone want a "Shotgun" with an 8 1/2" Barrel in the first place?

Just sayin.

My reasoning exactly.
