8.5 mm shootgun?

A friend talked me about a 8.5 mm shotgun he recently bought.
He told me the gun was made in Birmania if memory serves well.
It is a bolt action gun. I asked him if it wasn't a 9 mm Flobert
but he said it was not...

I haven't seen the gun yet, someone knows this mysterious
shotgun caliber?

Probably one of the many "garden guns" popular throughout Europe before most of of their people became pussies.

EDIT: Isn't Birmania another name for Myanmar? If so I guess I am way off.

Just checked and It is another name for Myanmar. I've heard it called Burma before but never Birmania.

You're right, Birmania (north-west of Laos and Thailand) was renamed
Myanmar by 1990 but the gun is probably marked Birmania cause that's
what I was told, and the gun was probably made before 1990.

So nobody knows anything about a 8.5 mm shotgun caliber??
