8.6 blackout ammo in Canada?

Hey,

Just out of curiosity; I have a FIX rifle that performs really well in both .308 and 6.5 creedmoor.

Any idea if any 8.6 ammo is available somewhere?

Not sure what the hype behind this ammo is?

Can someone explain?

It’s slower than .308 has less velocity less energy on target.. what’s the appeal?
Someone showed me the video of the Q guy hunting buffalo with it.. he claims it’s a dangerous game load?
The numbers behind it are pretty below average so I’m confused.

The hype is that its new and different.

Subsonic rifle bullets have a MASSIVE potential for penetration. They penetrate better than everything, so as a dangerous game load it would be good. Energy is not the only predictor of capacity to wound.

Go watch the guy drop a cape buffalo with one.
It's penetration is unchallenged compared to African rifles.
But it's too early yet. Way too early.
Alot more research needs to be done.
But very very cool round
