We get bored sometimes with old designs and make limited runs of things and this is one of them. A stepped and fluted 8 inch barrel for the Ruger 10/22 platform rifle. These are limited and only in carbon steel that is blued. The muzzle end is .820 diameter so our thread protectors and XB-5 linear comps fit like a glove. Find them all here on the website :

As luck would have it we did make some to fit in a 'standard' length stock like the factory Ruger or the Hogue. They are 14" long and are stepped and fluted and look fantastic with our XB-5 on the muzzle. I didn't add them to the website yet but if you're interested just call me at the shop and we'll get it out to you.

These start as .920 and step down to .820 at the muzzle :

Ah. Too late. I waited months for those .820 linear compensators and then just ordered another from somewhere else. Oh well. Nice product though.

Any idea which stock/chassis will work best woth 8" barrel? I thought I had read the magpul stock needs 12" barrel

I have a GreyBirch RDR that is 12.5 and it barely sticks out past the Magpul stock. maybe a mm or two. I used to run the DLASK linear comp on it but now I use the TandemKross Gamechanger Pro2.

The 8" wud be way too short.

Maybe with a pseudo Suppressor of a similar diameter that was 5" that wud be cuul.

None of the stuff many are looking for 870, 10-22 bbls
Dlask is a fantastic manufacturer but they're still a small operation, and it's hard to justify investing in materials, machines and staff with how uncertain the firearms scene has been in Canada in the past 5-7 years. They used to make a lot of cool stuff and the government has been slowly chipping away at those. The 1911s they used to make rivaled some of the best customs out of the US in terms of fit and finish and accuracy. Their AR stuff were excellent for the price. Their jigs and blanks were outlawed in 2017. And more recently, many of the rifles they focused on making NR barrels for were just prohibited in the last few months. It's tough. I still have a Sig pistol clone they used to make way back in the day too. :(

Josef Dlask and his products/services are top notch.
I have had excellent results with his 10/22, 1911, AR and M14 products and services over the years.
As legislation tightens and time moves on, I would urge you to buy while you still can.

Not saying the products are not good, though my DAR-701 magwell seemed off spec and tight and those Sig clones, DAC-394 never did work well, did they ?

what I was trying to say was that it seems the Dlaskbtgreads always seem to ask about "bread and butter" parts, short barrels for 870 and 10-22 specifically.

There always seemed to be an 8 month hype campaign saying any day now and keep checking the website, only to realize whenbthe date arrived they released a batch of 12 or other small quantity
