Im looking for load data for an 8rem mag with 220 grain Sierras. 7828 gets first nod, second choice 4831, and lastly 1000. If anyone could point me in the proper direction, or share some old manuals with me id sure appreciate it.
If you arent comfortable sharing load info on a public forum, dont be shy to message me. Thanks

Reloaders nest or hodgdon reloading would be a couple places to check. And google of course.

You can PM Eagleye on here and he might give you a starting point as he's been playing around with one lately.

I have some 220's here for mine, just waiting to find some more brass, haven't reloaded for that one yet thought I might get some more experience with the smaller stuff, lol.

Yeah I am hoping to hear from Dave. Reloders nest had info for nearly every powder except 7828 hahaha

under the reg loads there is a 7828 "unverified load" @ 82gr, another good thing would be if someone would run you a Quickload with 6-8 powders.

Nosler data shows 180's @ 88 and 200's @ 83.5, I wouldn't be scared to start at 75-76gr with a 220.

Thanks guys. I think I should get Quickload. Never used it before but there sure are a lot of people mentioning it. Must be a useful tool for some applications no doubt.
Thanks Dunno....I hadn't found that page in my searches.

I think you're right tuffbuff... I'll start out in the mid to high 70s and see what I. An come up with. Just wanted to hear someone else mention it to verify my train of thought.

IMR 7828 should work OK, although I have not used it with any 220 grain bullets.
In my 8mm Rem Mag, Reloder 25 and particularly Reloder 26 have worked well.
BE CAREFUL!! In my experience, Reloder 26 is somewhat faster burning than is Reloder 25
I am using RL 26 behind the 220 Woodleigh, the 220 Hornady and the 220 A-Frame
Start at 78 grains of 26. or 80 grains of 25, In my 700, 82 grains of 26 yields 3090 fps, a potent load.
I have some Ramshot Magnum that is showing promise as well, but have not reached
the point where I can report on it. Regards, Dave.
