This is 8mm Mauser ammunition. I had to look it up. 7.9 threw me off. If you click on the above link it will not have a picture and the description is about the Yugo MBO rifle. Hey, it's Friday! Release the slaves!

Can you confirm what exactly this is? What is the year of manufacture?

The pictures you have on your site (and the pricing) suggests it's the same 1950s stuff that has been around every now and then. That stuff is definitely corrosive.

It is very nice ammo. I bought one case, so far, haven't fired any, but it looks like good stuff.

Finally. 8mm ammo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:D

50 less rounds for $10 less?

You are correct, it was a better deal off the bat for those who chose/were able to take advantage of it.
The pricing on the full crate still remains at .63 cents/round

With all due respect, it sounds a little like "bait and switch".
I realize it's not, but never the less, it has left a bad taste in my mouth.
So much for "sleeping on it".
Never had a bad dealing with Frontier before, guess I'll get over it...in time.

buy the full case at the price that has been unchanged and you have no reason for a bad taste. Or don't think on things when sleeping, and your lucky it didn't sell out like most of my deals I sleep on :D

In the game of surplus ammo you cant just sit back and hope things will remain the same until you are ready to buy. I remember a time not that long ago that we could have stocked up on $100.00 per case of wholesale Czech ammo. It has almost doubled now.

Our other option is to just forget it and sell it in full cases. We do not benifit by half cases because it takes just as long to process an order for half a case as a full one (we have been trying to find people to work for free for the last 7 years but no luck yet!).

In the coming months you will see this same ammo go up on EE for a dollar a round by some of the people who are buying multiple cases today (anyone remember South African surplus 308?). Thats right, many of the people who are buying it have indicated they are buying it as an investment.

How many grains bullet does it have?

From the picture on the website it is 1950s Yugo, so 197ish grains. Can vary a grain or two.

Got the information from here:

http://forums.gunboards.com/showthread.php?260167-8mm-Mauser-ammo-MEGA-teardown-Yugo-Romanian-Turk-and-more!

But I have seen it advertised on other sites as 197gr ammo before.
