Thanks to Azone for running the course. I had a great time helping out as my last installment as an apprentice BB Instructor. Next step is my solo.

We ran out of time as the regular "handgunners" have the range in the evening on Sundays. I will be putting one together on our IPSC practice match for these fine folks.

Chuckles at Storm. i get around that problem by inviting the regulars out to the mini match. it does two things, lets the regulars have their Sunday shooting plus it gives the new BB students a chance to see and talk to regular shooters. the regulars are usually very good at giving tips to the students. i run my mini match just like a regular match except that BB students get a zero and a re-shoot if they do a DQ. i have had a lot of my students come back and say they thought the mini match best prepared them for their first match.

I have a standard mini match that i use and i adjust the number of stages depending on how many people i have and whither i am running late or not. i also screw with the scoring entries for the BB students to teach them to check their score cards. i forget decimal places, reverse times start one line down when entering scores etc. just like when i am a real stats person, LOL.

Just want to say thank you to John for inviting me out to the BBC to meet the shooters. Had a great time. As always a visits to ESSA was grand. Thanks to all the crew who helped, you hospitality was again excellent.

i guess i am kind of lucky in that regard. i heave learnt through time that when i rent the range for the day i rent it for the whole day and it is my range. i have tired to be nice in the past and it has bitten me in the ass so now i just either rent the bay or the range for the day and it is closed. the lucky part is that the range is use give me those options.

Oh I know what you mean by that.

I tried ever so hard to be VERY accomodating to one individuals needs this past weekend in terms of range use.

Only to have my people insulted by that same person when they showed up and he forgot the agreement.

Needless to say next time will be different.
