Tell me what big game animals you would be comfortable using these bullets on?

I immediately think caribou, antelope and deer.... but have not tried them. I would not hesitate a 120 gr on moose or elk....

Anyone use them?

I've seen quite a few taken with 120's, this year I used a 140 on my moose, it was over when I pulled the trigger.

I am thinking of using a 115 for most everything this year ... I have seen a lot of animals that have been taken with the 120's

My friend uses 100 gr Moly coated x bullets for most of his hunting, (caribou, MOOSE, wolf, and wolverine) I have only used a 117gr in my 25-06 on game, and it certainly knocked down the moose faster than I thought it would.
Why the hell not, the 120 grainers work as good in the .25-06 as the 130's in my .270win.

I know some people who have been killing moose for a good long time with cup and core 100 - 120gr bullets in 25-06. I'm sure a 100gr TSX at 25-06 velocities would be deadly medicine on most anything up to and including moose.

I've seen it myself in action several times. Everyone is so caught up in mega weight bullets, but really, 100 grains of medicine in the right spot is better than 500 grains in the asss.
I carry my 25-06 around a LOT, because its just so versatile. The only other gun I carry as much is my .338wm (and thats only because I ran into a grizzly 3 years ago, and I felt quite unarmed with a .270 in my hands. )
I prefer 100 gr bullets a little more, as I send them screaming downrange at 3300 f/s, quite a flat shooter.

my old rifle was a .243 with 100gr SP bullets, I would use it on deer but nothing bigger, and the longest shot I would take with one on a deer is 200 metres, preferably 150, now that I'm using a .270 with 150 gr bullets, that should deliver it nicely for elk and moose

This is the biggest animal I've seen my daughter kill with a 100gr TSX out of a 25WSSM. She has also taken several deer and a black bear with the same load. I wouldn't hesitate to use it on moose and it would be better than a stick for defending against grizz.

I've been handloading 100gr TSX for my neighbours 25-06 for about six years. He's taken sheep, moose, caribou, deer...it kills them!

It all comes down to shot placement (and velocity). I dropped a couple of wild boar the other day with a 17 Fireball and if it wouldn't have been dead on in the forehead I wouldn't have taken the shot.
