Do you know of any place that sells them? Dlask had some not so long ago but they don't seem to have them anymore.

Thanks

I too been having trouble finding any. Dlask only lists Forgings of uppers/lowers on their site. Willing to try a full but need a little more tools for it. Emailed them today though looking see if it just isn't listed

i emailed dlask a few days ago.. they dont have 80% lowers, but they have the forgings. im going to guess and say there isnt much $ in selling the 80% with jig kits seeing that you can get a stripped lower for $130 now....sometimes a little less.

ya true, that is if you can find someone with them in stock! Every time I try and order the 120-130 ones they seem to be sold out .

Did you try Darren at Saskatoon Gun Works? I think he might still have a bunch of Aero Precision stripped lowers for $139. He also has complete ones (minus stock) for $297.

Bump,

Anyone know where to get these?

Also, how does registering them work? Can you make up a company name and serial number?

the areo lowers are really nice...great value for what you pay

lots of hassle by the sound of it...so i gave up..cheaper and easier to buy a stripped lower.

I already own a stripped lower. I want an 80% lower. I want my own serial # etc.

Rcmp politely requested that dealers no longer deal in 80% receivers.
Are they legal to posses? Sure
Is it legal to finish one and have it verified, why yes it is
But if yer a shop that tries to sell them, get ready for weekly drop in inspections and all kinds of extra scrutiny on your business.

Too bad really, I was also hoping to pick up an AR 80% or one of those dlask 1911 80%, if anyone has one kickin around... Name your price hehehe I'd like to build an ar and a 1911 with matching logo work ect.

You guys realize of course, Dlask and Motiuk will make custom lowers ?

True, but it will still have their logo on it. Have you seen the Dlask engravings lately? They look like garbage, I'd rather hand stamp a lower.

Don't forget these is a small portion of us that actually like the challenge and joy of machining our own lower (and upper), for some cost has nothing to do with it.

You'll appreciate something more if you made it with your own hands.

One thing, about ser no.s is that just like car plates they can and will veto what they consider an innapropriate ser no. Was told that outright when we registered our scratch AR10 lowers.

So can I if I had an 80% LOL
Seriously though, finishing an 80 is a gratifying experience and allows custom features that may otherwise be a hassle for busy shops like motiuk and especially dlask.
One of my friends did his 80 AR in a machined dragon scale finish. Then did his own anodizing. Amazing looking custom AR that would not have turned out that way without his own custom work.
