some folks feel the 8208 powder might not be the best choice in 17 Fireball with a 20 gr bullet.
And I was hesitant to try it myself until a friend from Sask. told me it is lights out in his rifle and his brothers rifle, both shooting factory SPS rifles
He uses neck size brass and has more powder capacity than my full length sized brass and a compressed load of 20 grains is
his magic.
I backed off 2 grains to start. And 18.3 gr gave me my best group yet with this rifle. Nothing special with 18.4 or 18.5
XBR also looking really good in my 20 Extreme with 32 gr bullets, both 21.2 and 21.4 gave me good consistent groups,
maybe not the fastest load, but a pair of nice 1/2 inch groups.
Now down to Milk River to do some live fire testing next weekend.....FS
