858 cleaning oops

Hi, I was cleaning my 858 wiping it down with a rag and heard a snap.
This is what I saw !

I am usually very careful in the trigger area of the reciever but I guess my rag got caught on the trigger and striker release pin retention lever and that is what happened. Not sure what to do now.

The Lever is riveted in place. Need to source out a new lever and figure out how to get the new one installed.

Any thoughts? I guess i am just a butcher !

that piece you broke is the trigger group retention tab. if it does not move easily i would not even bother replacing it.
 
Yea I'd leave it, if the retainer starts moving and pins get loose then you can source a new part and replace it with a new revet. I replaced mine and just used a standard aluminum revet with no issues so far.

I does move a little, i will see if I can compress the rivet more, if it doesnt tighten up I will need to get a new one.

Guess I would need to buy the parts kit from Wolverine... unless someone has one laying around ( LOL ).
