So I removed the thread protector from my 858 (7.62x39) and put on a heavy brake with a swirling vent holes that I just got in from Wolverine. (NEA?)

It just tightens to hand tight and then backs off until the push pin locks in place? Am I doing this right, or is there a need to loctite or over-tighten, or is it all set?

I heard the blast could be brutal so I hope this helps with blast and any lift.

I also have a CSA in 5.56mm. Is there a comp or break that is better for 5.56?
Are the threads on a 5.56mm the same should the brakes and comps be interchangable?

You can spin it all the way on past the detent if you want it tight. The angle of the slots means the muzzle blast tightens it with every shot.

It won't reduce muzzle climb at all, it's not a compensator.
