Brand spanking new 858, cleaned and took it to the range today. On the third mag no trigger pull, noticed that the pin in front of the safety had come loose and no trigger sear. Cannot get cover off of gun and was wondering if anyone had any ideas?

If you can't remove the cover, the rifle must be cocked so to release the sear, you may have to remove the pistol grip and pull down the sear with a small hook or something like. After cover out, replace the loose pin and be sure that the small lever inside receiver, right side, is in the locked position so the pin wont move again.

Got it figured out thanks

I remembered the pistol grip trick and got it sorted out. There was a shim on the pin to keep the sear from moving and it would not let the pin lock on the side close properly. A bit of work and it is now working. I would have hoped for better QC. Hopefully that is it.
