858 problem

I just bought a 15" 858. The bolt sometimes only closes half way. It is hanging up on the sear disconnect tab that sticks up on the left side of the receiver.

Anyone one else have this problem? This model is the CSA model, not the CZ.

I was wondering if i should take a bit of metal off the tab?
 
CSA makes a 15" version?????

Id lube it up and take it out shooting first and see what happens during firing. My 15" CZ did that a bit when it was new, took it out shooting and nothing happened to it. Sometimes if I ride the charging handle forward when I am dicking around with it at my house it will hang a bit up aswell but not anymore. Might just need a little breaking in.

Didnt know CSA made 15" rifles
 
That is normal, and it should only happen with the safety off. Unless its doing it while shooting then its not a problem. It will do it with the safety off while sliding the bolt closed gently. Do not force it forward if it does hang up as it will release the striker when it does. Its highly unllkely to cause an out of battery but why take the risk? Bfiles, wasnt the last batch of CSAs that Wolverine dumped 15"? Maybe I'm just crazy...
 
I dont think anyone brought in restricted csa "rifles", not carbines or compacts.
I am pretty sure that they only had non restric .223 and 11 3/4" and 7.5" in canada so far.
I could be wrong now though

Yes stone the bottom of the carrier til it stops getting hung up "leave the disconnector alone though"

If you dont do this the locking peice will dent up the bolt carrier rail :(
 
I had the same thing happen and thought it was a big deal. If you ride the bolt home, it can stick, just like would on an AR platform. You have to just let go of the bolt and let the spring and inertia do the work.
 
If I pull the trigger, before releasing the bolt, the disconnect is pulled down, out of the way, and I am sure it is still down as the gun cycles, since I can't release trigger fast enough to make it bind.

The problem only exists when dropping the bolt with finger off the trigger.
