858 reciever change

Kodiak says on their website that they will change your 858 receiver to one of their Canadian receivers. Has anyone had this done by them?

Last time I mentioned my experience it made a bunch of people mad. Short story, I would not recommend this route.

I was debating picking up one of the upcoming prohib 858s after the prices slid back down from the summit of "get a 12x licence" stupidity on the EE.
What was the issue with the service they were offering to swap receivers? I'm honestly still debating going this route.

Wasent the price to swap half the ammount of a new VZ58? When I seen the first estimate it was over $600 plus shipping.

so in the end you could just sell your 858 at lets say $700 ish lowballed on EE if you wanted and added on your own $600 give or take and got a whole new nr vz with warranty.

Basically. Plus, Most the charm with the CZ858 was that it was not the civilian variant, Changing the receiver to a commercial clone ruins the allure for me.

Its like putting a Norc M14 receiver on a Springfield M1A.

No. Sell the CZ 858 on the EE for $1300 after asking $1800 at first and buy a new VZ with the money.
