Agreed, I talked to Broncoo as I wondered this myself. He said it's not worth mig'ing as it's too thin. Otherwise I would have done it myself. For the cost, leave it to somebody who does this by trade IMO.

I just wanted to update this thread. I sent my carrier out to broncoo shortly after this thread was created. He quoted me approx 2 week completion time, and he is a man of his word! He received it exactly two weeks ago, and I received the completed carrier today. Frankly, I'm a sucker for a nice clean weld, and he didn't disappoint. Hopefully he doesn't mind me posting some pics.

That's great thanks for posting! As Soon as I get time to put rounds through my recently repaired 858 to make sure it works, I will contact broncoo to have mine welded!

Finally got my 858 out to the range after wolverine repaired it. 100 rounds and no jams or gremlin issues! Very happy

i do it as i feel there is a need for this type of thing at a reasonable cost, not to get rich.
as i said before i do it as part of my firearms hobby, not a business thats why you do not see a banner with my name at the top.

This might not be the problem you think it is. The two cartridges look like a jam issue, but it might be the problem I just had with my CZ58, which i think i fixed.
With no mag in the rifle cycle the bolt gently back and closed. Try this a few times. Does the bolt ever get stuck, about 1 inch open? If so, that is the problem, not a feed problem.
It is caused by the bolt carrier getting stuck on the disconnect lever. There is a crossways tab across the bottom of the carrier. The disconnect hits this tab and is pushed down. The surface of the tab that hits the disconnect is too vertical. Round the front surface a bit, but leave some of the tab at full height. This seems to have solved the problem in my rifle.

My carrier arrived today from being tabbed by broncoo! Now to test it by putting 100 rounds through it on my next day off
