870 Barrels - Question

Wondering if anyone can help me out.

A few months ago I purchased a Rem 870 Express (first firearm),
and i'm looking into getting a shorter barrel for HD/shorter range
applications.

Does anyone know where to get either a 18.5" or 20", rifled sighted, IC choked
barrel? I wanted a tighter pattern from the IC choke and still be able to shot
slugs. I'm just not sure if they make barrels of this type, as opposed to
cylinder bore.

Any ideas/suggestions would be appreciated.

The current 870 Express Tactical barrel is 18.5", has a rifle front sight, and is threaded for a breacher choke. The breacher can be easily swapped out for an IC or any other Remington threaded choke. This might suit your needs.
 
You want a barrel from a Police model 870. They're exactly what you want, 18.5" or 20", rifle sights available, Improved cylinder with a parkerized finish.

Tacord dot com should be able to get you one no problem if he doesn't already have one sitting around.
