I just saw the new video of fps russia and he put a bullpup stock on a 870. I know that you cant put a bullpup style stock on a rifle but can we put one on a shotgun?

Unless Remington sold them that way from the factory....

Converting guns into bull pups is illegal. Buying manufactured bull pups is just fine.

You're on the right track but just a tad off. The wording of the law is that a bullpup is illegal if the action of the gun can be fired without the stock attached. Modern purpose built bullpups like the Tavor and T97 (just to name two) are designed with the stock being integral to the chassis of the firearm. Thus, perfectly legal.

An 870 however would be illegal in a bullpup stock regardless of whether it came that way from the factory or was aftermarket.

Stupid rules, I know, but that's the law as it's written. Sadly.

The closest thing would probably be a KSG. And yeah, our laws do suck. But it could be worse, we could adopt UK firearm laws.

Isnt there a cool bulpup 10/22 stock in the states?

This guy?

Red Jacket ZKK-22

Would love to have one up here.

Fair point though, if Dlask or another company were to mill a replacement receiver that was a bullpup, then fit 870 parts into it, you could get it approved.
however the tooling costs alone would not make it feasible.

it would be very cool though.

You also have to redesign the trigger and everything else so your making a new firearm to start with.

It's the cost to produce it not the cost to make it that makes the difference. If it takes 1 person all day to make 1 shotgun or rifle that can get expensive when they have other things to do at the same time... Time is money...

Red Jacket made an adaptation to another company's bulpup there are two other I know of for the 10/22 that is 4, there are two or three for the Remington 597 and a few if you look for the AR-7... Every single one is Prohibited in Canada!
