I found a video on Life Leberty Etc about 870 disassembly but I can't seem to get the pump assembly out of the receiver. It says to push in the shell stop but it doesn't come out. Help is appreciated.

Thanks

Yes, if you check the dlask barrel wall is almost twice as a remington barrel,so you have to relieve some material from some forestocks. I had to do both my hogue stock and my standard wood stock or it would start to remove the finish on the barrel

my dlask 8.5 has some inletting/sanding on the forgrip to clear the barrel...

as for how to remove the forend, push one of the shell holders to the outside (r/l???) cant remember... out the rails slide!

yes you need to remove material on the forend to make the slide work properly.a little chalk helps to see were it is rubbing .to remove the forend i slide the pump open halfway then reach up from the bottom of the gun on the left side with a couple of fingers . push in on the narrow band to the outside .you will feel it release .gently slide the forend ahead. do not use force as it should come apart freely . do not pull the trigger with the gun apart or you will have more problems . to reassemble you will need to push in the right side band first then the left then use the action release and everything will slide into place .its easy once you have done it a few times.

I finally got it. Turns out one of the shell stops had come loose. The peening had released and it poped out when I got it apart. I fixed it with a punch, not sure if that was my problem though.
