Just posting because I didn’t really find an answer on Google when I searched, so maybe this post will help someone out. But can confirm some 870 forends will definitely fit a 1200, and likely a 1300 Winchester.

Buddy of mine gave me a treeline 870 900lm flashlight forend, these were made for and sold by tractor supply in the USA , apparently streamlight sued them over it and they got pulled from shelves, but you still see them listed on auctions like eBay.

So not having an 870, but having a 1200 Winchester 2-3/4” with a cracked forend , I got to wondering if it could fit, sure enough the tube was the correct diameter for a snug fit and just long enough. The forend nut was slightly too fat to clear the new forend, so I was gonna open it up, but my friend offered to reduce the forend nut diameter slightly with his lathe instead, I think he said he took 75 thousandths off the outer diameter and it cleared the new forend and tightened down just fine. If you don’t have access to a lathe you’ll can remove material from the forend to clear the nut. Very solid fit, got to use the new part and replace the broken one on my old Winchester.

Can also confirm. However; In most instances you also have to hone out the 870 forend slide tube hole. As the Winchester slide tube is a larger diameter. Forends with tighter tolerances will require more honing.
