I have an old wingmaster that I dressed with newer police furniture. Racking hasn't been smooth since and I can't see any new points of friction. Removing the old wood forearm was not a smooth process, due to wood glue being present, though I don't believe I damaged the action bars.. Does anyone have any idea what I may have done wrong?
Thanks in advance!

What is the issue exactly? Will the slide go all the way forwards? What does not smooth mean. Need more detail.

I recently changed the stock on my 870 and accidentally installed the stock backwards. All of a sudden there was an interference and the front of the pump was hitting the magazine tube cap and I was about 1/16" away from being able to fully close the action. Can't recall if racking was any more or less smooth. Took it all apart again and flipped the stock around and it fit and functioned perfectly, no issues.

If that's not your problem it would be hard to say what else it could be asides from the action bars being bent in or out. Suffice it to say they should be perfectly parallel. If you can disassemble it again, measure the distance between the bars at several distances from end to end, and if its not consistent, just bend them a bit. They are made of fairly springy steel, but be gentle cause you don't want to stress the steel too much.

If that doesn't identify the problem, put the wood stock back on and see if the friction goes away. If it does, then you know the problem is with the new furniture, if it doesn't, then you know something got damaged.

It feels like the pump hangs up when all the way foreward and all the way back, and requires more force than before to rack. I will take a closer look today and possibly snap photos. Thanks for the suggestion.

Sounds like you may have put a twist in the bars, and it doesn't take much. It also could be the stock rubbing against the barrel, or even the forend canted a little when you tightened it up

I had a similar issue with a 760 and simply tightening the large slotted face at the end of the slide completely cleared it up.
