870 hard to rack with 14" barrel

Hey guy. I've got an older Wingmaster, works great. I bought a 14" barrel for it, think it's a Dlask, can't remember. Now it has become hard to rack. In the last 1" of travel as you are closing the action, it becomes tight...the last 1/4" is really hard. That makes it quite hard to open the action...does it if there is a shell in there or not. I figure the new barrel is a little over spec, but I'm not sure in what dimention....any ideas?

If I put a wingmaster barrel back in she racks fine, switch to the 14", hard to rack....

Fore end will need to be opened up. Dlask barrel will have a thicker diameter than the wingmaster.

OK, I was wondering about that....it feels like it's binding a bit on the wood....but then I take a close look and seems to be fine.....I'll look closer..thanks

Common with Dlask barrels, you need to sand the forend a bit.

put a little chalk on the wood and you will be able to tell were to remove material. i have seen this problem on other pump guns with the for-end binding on the receiver .

I've heard of this problem, but can't figure out why Dlask would build them thicker. It seems to invite problems...
