870 mag cap flashlight

I have one similar on a Mossberg 500 that serves as a bump in the night stick

It works well enuf .....mine is bot overly bright ...makes a good indoor light but less than stellar outdoors

Having it mount inline with the mag tube makes it very snag free and points well with the barrel

The on/off button is t overly convenient and also causes one to have to reach far forward...closer to the muzzle than I like
My version also dowsnt have a momentary mode on the switch witch I think is very useful feature

Wanst exceedingly expensive which is nice

On/off switch that far forward would suck, I want it near my thumb when the forend is forward and the gun is loaded. Same with any weapon light, I don’t want to be fiddling with my grip if I need a light on a gun in the dark.

I’d love to see a torture test on a unit like this. I love the idea, more so than the Steiner, which had the better potrude into the mag tube taking some away capacity. Like butcherbill said. I don’t know about the button placement, especially if it’s intended to be on a 14” barrel (camp defence gun) It would be nice for lights like these to work well and help drive down the ridiculous price on some of the higher end lights out there by having an affordable option as an alternative.

Switch is in a terrible spot. No momentary function? Are you supposed to just walk around with it always turned on or something? Why on earth would you want a strobe light on your shotgun? Do you, have to cycle through the modes to find the one you want?

Magpul sga forend with a Surefire g2x is the cheapest way to mount a light that doesn’t suck. You can put it on the bottom if you don’t want it on the side

I have the Steiner version...never got around to installing it as my Wilson/Scattergun has a mag tube extension and i didnt want to remove that to install this

The strobe function is to stun and slow down the attacker, whether it be a two legged variety or the four legged kind!.....:)

plus it also makes it harder for them to pinpoint the source of the light...in case they want to "bite" back and aim in your direction
