870 police magnum hunting barrels

Hi, guys!
I just got a 870 Police Magnum and I want to know if I can change the original barrel with a fully rifled one, or a longer barrel threaded for chokes (for hunting).

shouldn't be a problem I've used different barrels on my 870 police without any issue's.

yes you can but only up to 3 inch mag. Minor difference between the police and express models are aluminum trigger guard, parkerizing as the metal finish and non-dimpled mag tube. Barrels are easily changed

I know for a fact! last time out I swapped my police barrel with my buddies express and it was all good!

The only 870 that can be hinky (to the best of my knowledge) is the old 870 Special Field which had a straight stock and a slightly different magazine tube/barrel clamp position. Not sure how long they were made but they're nice guns, just different.
