870 question

I have had a few different 870's over the years. All have said 870 Expeess on the receiver.
I recently purchased a new to me 870. It simply says 870 on the receiver. Is there a lower grade than express? The barrel says 2 3/4 and 3". It's a newer shotgun, I might add. With the plastics trigger assembly. I might add, it does say express on the owners manual that came with it.
So I guess my question is, Is this an Express? What have I got?

Yeah, it's a normal Express. There's not a "lower grade" than Express.

In recent years some of the Express stuff doesn't have Express on the receiver. You can always tell by the finish, polymer trigger guard, mag tube dimples, MIM extractor (line on extractor) and a couple other differences.

It's a decent shotgun, blast away ..
