870 question

Ok What the hell I just had it in my head a question about the 870 and now I forgot..... Ok I'll just ask this then. Which new 870 model with the 18" barrel accepts the afermarket stuff like two shot extention and side saddle etc. Is there a model that wont? I remember reading that one of the 870s will not accept police aftermarket stuff. As for the other question I'll have to sleep on it.

what you need is the police model.
what remington do is put a dimple in the end of the mag tube to stop you from putting a longer mag tube on the gun.
They never used to do this.
most of us eather buy the 6shot police model ort just drill out the dimple.
if you dont want to do that any gunsmith will do it for you.

It's OK to get an Express. You just drill out the dimples and clean up, then they will accept all of the accessories.

I just got a 2005 18-1/2" Synthetic Express at Epps for $399 and it came from the factory with a 2 shot extension. If you want to go tactical, it's a great starting point and you don't need to do any drilling. Only problem is that it came with the full length forearm. I figure it's cheaper to replace that than modify the tube and buy an extension.
That's my 2 cents.
