870 rear sling swivel position

Would someone take a second and measure the distance from the point of the butt pad to the centre of the resr sling stud please.

If like to make sure I put mine in the correct spot

There is no 'correct' spot... I do prefer about 4 inches from the rear of the pad... this allows if the stock is ever shortened in the future you don't need to move the stud... many times I see 'home installed' studs back too far. It carries just fine as far as halfway up the stock...
