870 Special Field

I too know where there is one that's not for sale although I've had many offers. Condition and if it has removable chokes or not will effect value.

Cool. Mine is I think a 1984??? with a 21" barrel and fixed IC choke if I remember right. No choke tubes :( but I have a 1100 12ga also in this style that is a 1985 and actually came with special Briley screw in chokes two years prior to remington offering the rem chokes on production guns. She is an odd ball
No box for the 870 but never been fired
Kind of like the english stocks
Never really looked to see what they go for today but not much more than an equivalent wingmaster I would say
Cheers

I have one in 20 ga. & sold another in 12 ga about 3 yrs ago for $650. It was unfired!
My 20 is an awesome little upland shotgun,....21" barrel, interchangeable choke system & at 5-1/2 lbs is sweet to pack all day! The straight stock is a good feature on these guns too, in my opinion. I'm on my 26'th season so far & hope for many more. The older I get the more I appreciate this little shotgun!

If you can find one you will certainly like it!

Remchokes.

23", I believe.

A few marks on it.

It may be for sale shortly.

They would be a tricky gun to sell IMO. If you are in the market for one yes it will bring good dollars and a quick sale but I think the following would be small for a 12ga upland plus many donot like english stocks I find but who knows until one tries
The 20ga would have way more interest for sure
Not a gun I would buy thinking I could resell and make a few dollars
All the best

Early in the year, I remember seeing a couple different EE ads for 12ga in nice condition. If memory serves, they were asking around $600 mark. I don't much like pump actions but the straight stocked 870 Special Field, particularly the 20ga is a nice shotgun for Upland. I own a 20ga LW model chambered for 3in cartridge, has a 21in barrel with Remchokes, comparatively smaller fore end and overall slim profile. Weighs 6.1lbs. Come to think of it, it was Waterfowler who pointed me towards that couple years ago when I was looking for one.
