I have an 870 supermag that was bought as a back up for duck hunting a few years ago but has not seen much use so am thinkiing of putting her on the block. Now it is a camo 3.5 inch but it is not an express but a Wingmaster .My partner says cannot be they did not make a supermag in a Wingmaster only an express. Cannot find much info so am asking does anyone know if they did make a camo 870 wingmaster it has a 28" barrel

It will say "Wingmaster" on the receiver if its a Wingmaster.

As a guess, I'd say no, Wingmasters did not come in a painted camo pattern. One of the main selling features of the Wingmaster is its high gloss finish walnut stock, and its deep blued receiver and barrel.

Im also pretty sure their was never a 3 1/2" Wingmaster, but I could be wrong.

Wingmaster

There was indeed a Wingmaster Supermag 3.5" about 6 years ago I remember considering it but I opted for the 3" instead and im glad I did. As far as the camo Wingmaster goes I have never heard of that, I thought Wingmasters were all walnut and highly blued. Max-4

I own a 3 1/2" wimgmaster walnut and high gloss bluing but they never made them in camo that is for sure, the camo was not called express but was the same as express. I forget what it was called off the top of my head SPS?? maybe

This is the thing I have owned several express 870's and they have all said express on the side of the recievers this just says 870 supermag.I guess it is what it is but was curious, going to keep it so no worries

It all depends on the year made. The 1st express made had nothing on the side of the receivers at all.
Remington never made a wingmaster regardless if 3" or 3 1/2" in camo. All camo were either sps or express base models no wingmasters.People are thinking their sps is a wingmaster and it is not
Here is some reading for you. 1st camo out in 92 , 1st super mag 1999, the wingmaster supermag as I own out in 2000 but not in camo.
All camo 870 use sps or express parts not wingmaster.
