870 surefire forend opinions?

What do you guys think of the Surefire forends? Pros/cons?

Does surefire sell some sort of dummy plug if I don't need the flashlight? Any LED head conversion options?

I love mine. I use the 6V tube (the 9V tube is too long for a 14" barrel). Surefire does sell a plug that you can screw in if you want to remove the light tube. They also sell a tube extension and click-cap if you want to be able to use the light as a handheld when it's not mounted on the grip.

I'm not sure about LED heads - if you view the shotgun light (model 618 I think??) on the surefire website there should be a listing of related accessories.

A bit pricey, but worth it in my opinion for a great piece of kit.
