870 tactical, Flashlight issues

Really tough to find in Canada, I bought the Surefire for an 870 for under $300.00

A 1" Weaver ring is $15.
Any 1" or less diameter LED flashlight will work. Preferably something with a momentary on/off like a Surefire G2 Nitolon or clone.

but seriously.. Fenix TK11 with pressure switch.. excellent quality and very bright.
Spending that little extra will buy you a lot

But yeah dont go tacstar, theyre only 75 lumens...think cheap pocket light that sucks down expensive batteries in a hurry. My TK12R5 puts out 280 lumens for the same 1.5 hr runtime and has 3 other brightness settings down to 11 lumens for 5 days on the same 2 CR123 batteries that the tacstar uses. Theyre about 70-80 bucks and the pressure switch is 20-25 I believe. They also have their new TK15 that puts out 330 lumens for the same 1.5 hrs. We had a power outage this winter in the middle of the night so I tried the TK12R5 in the backyard, they are insanely bright, clean and flood very well with no dark spotting. Stands up to rapid fire hammering with 3" mags without so much as a flicker, Im happy

i have the older TK10 from Fenix.. and the beam will clearly light up a target at 200m at night.. on the lower setting you'd probbaly be looking at 100 max

Have you guys actually tested your Fenix''s on a shotgun? I mean actually turned it on a fired a bunch of rounds?
I have an LD10 on my AR15 that likes to switch to strobe mode when firing rounds through the rifle. I've put almost 500 rounds through it, with it turned on. It doesn't shut off, just likes to go to strobe mode. It's not exactly confidence inspiring. In my opinion "soft touch" features are not needed on a weapon mounted light.
