I just picked up an 870 tactical and am looking to accessorize it. The first thing I want to do is add a light and/or laser below the barrel. I have seen a number of options that are available online but can anyone tell me what really works and where in Canada can I get one as I can not find anything in the gun shops in Toronto. Thanks.

Hey, I just picked up the ERGO tri-railed fore-end from Wolverine and added a Magpul AFG and will be adding a flashlight with a pressure switch... not 100% sure about the AFG (i just added it, and haven't been able to get out to the range yet) but at least with the tri-rails... you can customize it quite a bit

Take a look at the CDM Gear mounts, available from S&J hardware. Looks like good kit and a seemingly simple solution for a problem that has been around for a while it seems

911 Supply out of Calgary has Surefire forearms available, and really after years of using them, they are hard to beat. Easy to install, shock proof lights and no wires or other crap that isn't needed hanging of the front.

I picked up a Burris Tri pic rail mount for the mag extension $94 and then slapped on a TLR-1 light. Love the setup and I still have room for a Laser.

The TLR-1 is a great little light love it so far.

you mat also want to look at Fenix. They make a tri rail forend with a verticle grip. The whole assembly is about 200. If you look at Tactical Products in Toronto they were gonna start bringing in Fenix and they have pretty good prices.

Hey Fozy,

Just a heads up Fenix does not make a "tri rail forend with a vertical grip"
They are now making the ALG-01 Flashlight Mount but this is currently the only mount they make.
Tactical Products Canada is now stocking Fenix lights and should prove to be a great place to purchase Fenix in the Toronto area.
;)
