I've got a newer 26 inch Rem 870 barrel that currently has a rem choke (f) in it. When I pulled it out I noticed the barrel is threaded both at the top and bottom (muzzle end and breach end). The rem choke passes by the muzzle threads and threads the rem choke no problem . Got the barrel from a buddy who took it immediately off a new gun and put a dlask barrel on. My question: did Remington thread 870 barrels both for rem choke and pro bore? Thoughts?
