I don't think it makes much sense to make the mag that much longer than the barrel imo.

So building a shotgun for 3 gun

And just finished installing a rem 870 +2 ext on my 8" barrelled shorty

Problem #1 The sling mount spins and can turn in front of the muzzle... Odd ......thoughts? Why would Wilson combat design it like that? Shown in pic #2 the sling mount obstructing the muzzle.

Try using the extension with a longer barrel and see if it does the same thing.

The point is to get more rounds in the mag obviously this shotgun was not intended to be a 3 gun shot gun

But it will morph into one eventually

14" barrel won't fit on an 8 1/2 inch frame in any case since the mag tube is too short. (although Dlask will custom make one, I had one made for mine). I don't do 3 gun but from what I understand most people go with longer barrels, so I agree with machman that you must be pulling our collective pissers. Just in case you're not, the other option is go to a single point sling, and problem solved

Please don't add the extension that is longer than the barrel.....thats an amazing shot gun don't mess it up like that
