870 youth 20ga

I was looking at a "Ladys" model of this shotgun for my otherhalf, I don't know if the Youth Model is the same, but it has an extended slide, Probably going to pick one up.
 
Both Remington and Scattergun Tech make 20 gauge extensions. If you pick up the 20 gauge Home Defense model it comes with an 18" barrel and 2rd extension. Just throw on a shorter youth stock and you're good to go.

ive never seen these - got a link? cant seem to find any info on them.
are they tapped for remchokes?

the 870 Express Compact Jr. in 20ga that i bought has an 18.5" barrel that takes remchokes.

if the 20ga mag extensions are anything like their 12ga counterparts, id recommend the Scattergun Tech ones -- theyre quite well-made. where are you finding them though? Brownells only seems to have the Choate mag extensions in 20ga - which IMO are pretty crappy mag extensions and should be avoided if possible (plastic end cap, seams on the inside that need to be honed away, binding, etc).
 
Looks like they may have changed the name to "Express Synthetic 7 shot". Kind of rolls off the tongue doesn't it?:rolleyes: It's too bad that no one makes a short barrel (14") for a 20 gauge.

now that is what im lookin for . youth stock and we are away. to bad they didnt make it in 28ga .
