I am in LOVE. Unfortunately, Remington's LE website only lists parkerized as an option, but a thread from 2009 shows that they are being made, perhaps sparingly?

Anybody know where to buy Remington LE products, especially the blued beauty in the video?
If not a site sponsor, PM me.

My other option for a short barrel glossy blued 870 was to get a Wingmaster, and get a short barrel blued to match.
the Police models seem cool though.

Looks nice and classy, but personally I think the finish of the standard 870 Police model is mostly why I'd want the gun in the first place. It's tough.

I bought a wingmaster for $225 about 2 weeks ago. I sold the 30" barrel for $100 (or you can cut it down to 18 and bead or ghost ring it). I sold the stock set for $75. So I have a wingmaster reciever for $50. I bought an unfired take off slug barrel for $100, and the wood police stock set for $50 (they are on EE all the time). So that's $200 all total. The blueing was still excellant, but I like to teflon my shotguns (I don't care for parkerising either), which I do myself (that's getting done in the next week or so). I also ported it myself. Yes it doesn't say 870P on the side, but You see Wingmasters for sale from the 50's all the time. They just will not quit. I currently have 4 wingmasters (I really like them a lot). An 18" with ghost rings, an 18" with a slug barrel(I prefer the irons to ghost rings but am comfortable with either). A 14" classic style wood stocks. And a receiver which I haven't decided what to do (I am thinking 14" with the full vang comp treatment). Pesonally the Wingmaster is the way to go( I am biased, can you tell), and use the money you save to buy shells or customize it the way you want or get an extra barrel if you like to go short.

Wolverine got one for me a few years ago, fabulous firearm, took a couple boxes to get her loosened up a bit, but once there, it is great, no FTEs anymore.
