Can someone please tell me where to find 8mm mauser in the lower mainland of BC. It dried up and cant find it since.

CanadaAmmo has been getting Prvi in though I think the FMJ is out of stock. I believe they have SP.

yes, CanAm has it, but they are a couple bucks more than some other non lower mainland places. Of course shipping is more than the difference, so unless you are buying something else at the same time you are stuck.

I as well wish to find some, and not have to pay thru the nose for it.

This is the reason why I will reload. 7.92x57 is expensive and hard to find.

Yeah ditto, good thing i have brass. So you figure can am is the best option eh.. I can get expensive remington at 31$ a box but too much when i was getting prvi for 23..

the other reason I don't care for the Prvi ammo is that it is somewhat weakly loaded, in the form I have anyways. if it says "8mm mauser" its weakish. Better than some of the US ammo, but still not up to what 8mm mauser is supposed to be. Now if it says "8x57JS", its supposed to be the good stuff.

the Privi Partizan have both. same blue box, same writing, but some say "8mm mauser" and others say "8x57JS"

There is also S&B and Igman.

Avoid the US made stuff as its "lawyer induced" weak loads. Unless you are just shooting for fun and want to save the brass.

There is also many corrosive surplus rounds availiable, but I don't shoot corrosive in my rifle.

Gun shows are your best bet. I found some Igman 170 gr. 8x57JS that a vender was selling, and I cleaned him out. S&B SPCE looks to be your only option for properly loaded 8x57JS on the retail market right now. SFRC has some right now, but a bit pricy.

What I would do for some RWS, Norma, and Prvi 8x57JS (they don't seem to sell it in North America)
