Anyone know if this stuff is still made or avaliable anywhere . ?
Also what about ammo for Martini henry 45 cal

Both are hard to get and very expensive(at least the .577/450), reloading is your only affordable hope, even then brass can be very expensive, dies as well, pm me if interested in reloading without the expense of dies.

Try Ellwood Epps; they are the Canuck agent for Old western Scrounger. I imagine that they might have some Lebel brass. I know that they usually have .577-450 brass in, but it is pricey. I treat my limited supply with TLC!

Good luck and have fun making big clouds of smoke.

Lee dies are available for 8mm LEBEL $32.98 us and the 577/450 for $110us In Canada www higginsonpowders.com has or can order them for close to that price in Canadian, but check with them for price. The 577/450 dies require a press like the Lee Classic with the 1 1/4-12 die hole, I believe some of the RCBS presses have the same size hole for big dies . They both use an adapter to use regular 7/8-14 dies.

8mm Lebel is in Fiocci catalogue, but don't get excited, like many antique calibres they are the least priority for Fiocci, who make them once in a few years. Fiocci dealer in Canada does not have any. Same goes for the US dealer. I had extensive correspondence with Fiocci Italy about that and the best they could tell me was that Iraq war is their priority #1, so whatever was left in stock of their dealers around the world was what's left of 8mm, 380 short/long, 44 russian etc.

Epps has Jameson 577/450 Brass. Also has the Lee 8mm Lebel & 577/750 dies. Correct size bullet mold for the 577/450 is made by RCBS. I got 8mm Graf brass from BC Redneck here in Canada.

"...talking about..." Both 8mm Lebel rifle and handgun brass is available. Epp's is the place to ask first.
If you have access to a lathe or know a machinist, reloadable .577-450 brass can be made out of 3/4" brass bar stock. Go here for a .pdf how-to.
