I'm reloading 8mm lebel pistol ammo based on cut 32-20 winchester brass and bullets made by Jet Bullets.
I don't crimp for the moment but, according to some specialised forums, it's very important to crimp the cartridges.
But in this caliber I couldn't find any crimp die.

Do you crimp your 8mm ammo? If yes where did you find the die ?
Thanks.

Most seating dies crimp if set to the correct height. Do you have directions with your set?

Main reason in a revolver is to prevent the bullets working out of the case upon recoil. The 8mm is unlikely to make that happen.
The second reason is for the pressures to build more consistently before the bullet moves on ignition. How much of a factor this is depends on the powder used. Usually not a big concern with the faster powders used in small pistol calibers but could have some effect.

Wow guys I'm flabergasted, got all the necessary answers. in one day.
Thank you very much.
As I also use the Hornady 3 dies set, I understand the crimping is done while seating the bullet.

Again thank you very much guys.
And a special thumbs up for all Jethunter's advices in the past !

Cheers

It's usually better to crimp separately in my experience. If your brass is all trimmed consistently you probably won't have issues though.
