8mm Mauser casting/reloading...

Ok, I just gave in and picked up a nice little M48BO.

Anyways....

RCBS doesn't make a 8mm Mauser. Lyman is expensive (still less than RCBS) but only has one bullet although it looks nice. Lee is cheap but makes good bullets for the price.

Anybody use the Lee design? Anybody try to match a top punch to it?

There was a nice Lyman SP bullet on (UGH) Anti-eBay but it went too high. Should I wait to try and get one of those instead?

Saeco's #081 is a beauty in the 8mm and NEI Handtools makes quite a few diff. molds for the 8mm, both offer top punches to match for use on the Lyman/RCBS lube/sizers. When it comes to bullet molds, you get what you pay for, and these two outfits are among the best. The Lyman design should be a keeper for sure as it looks like one of their last Loverin designs still avail., this design is generally considered the most accurate.
