Here is my 8mm Mauser. Shot a couple deer with it when I was younger. Not really up to date on the where, when, and rarity of it. I know someone can chime in and give me some info. Thanks

Good overview on production from this maker:

http://www.ycgg.org/pdfpages/ww2/dot.pdf

It is a late war rifle (dated 1944) and has some rough finishing. Without more pics, it is tough to say if the rifle was a post war/spare parts rebuild - the Czechs did this quite often and several of these re-finished rifles made it to Canada. You usually don't see many dou or dot 'bring back' rifles because most of the production saw service on the Eastern Front.

That Redfield site is probably drilled and tapped on? If so, the rifle really becomes a parts gun from a collectors perspective. If the sites can be removed and there is no damage to the rifle, it would really help the value.

Stock looks to be sanded too.

It does have a neat slab style cocking piece! And with a rejection asterisk as well! That's a neat part.

Safety looks to be the early style, not impossible.

A neat S/42 armourer spare extractor as well!

But the bolt flat looks renumbered to me, but based on the parts, who knows.

Way more pics are needed, but it has a few small interesting points anyways.

As agent said, if there's holes, it collectibility is gone, along with most of it value.

Post some more pics.
