I am sure there is a lot of GN who are looking for it, are any dealers planning
a big order, there sure have been a big influx of guns , now we need
good affordable Mil surp ammo, I am not being cheap by any means
just new made ammo is pushing the 30 dollars a box, I do not mind to
clean the corrosive ammo, I am sure if the dealers see the amount of
GN who want , maybe it would give them interest to supply shooters again.
I seen Lever is out of the Yugo stuff, I liked it, no issues , thanks all.

I am happy that I am setting on 3500 rds of the 8mm that I purchased many years ago to keep my k98 going. most of the war ammo supply has dried up over the years, reloading is the only way to go.

My question to you is who has surplus 8mm still to sell? Everyone would like some, just as everyone would like surplus .303 and 30-06, but if there is none out there for sale it doesn't matter how much we all want it.

I just fell into the 8mm boat in the last year. I had trouble even finding empty brass , and had to reform from other caliber cases.
My timing wasn't the best to get into this caliber. Should have done it years ago , but I wasn't into the military rifles then.
I'd love to find a bunch of brass. It's a fare amount of work converting 30-06 and 270 cases ! Cutting down , chamfering , deburring , annealing , reforming , final trimming to length , deburring and chamfering again , tumbling , flaring the necks for cast bullets , casting the bullets . Then reload as normal . LMAO ! The pain , the pain . lol

Trade EX has some privy 8mm brass. I bought a few bags from them already. I am not sure where else to get it from. hopefully they can keep stocking it for us guys who need it

I had a 98 and had it rechambered for 8-06. Lots of brass was available then. With what you'll spend on 8 mm brass will pay for the rechamber job in no time. And a bit more power to boot.i think it cost me 35$ in the 80's

It's all dried up.

It hasn't really dried up, there is still lots of bulk surplus 8mm ammo available in the USA at reasonable prices, just nobody is importing any into Canada recently.

This 1970's manufacture (1978) Romanian 8x57mm on stripper clips is available in bulk for $170 per can of 340 rounds or $330 for a crate of 680 and they sell very good quality, brass case Yugo surplus for $460 for 900 round crates or 1000 rounds of Iranian surplus 8mm for $280.

Same question was posed frequently 10 years ago. The answer is the same - get into reloading. I have always been able to find 8X57 brass - if anything it's more readily available now than 10 years ago.

All the cheap 50's produced Yugo stuff has dried up here but there seems to be a lot of 'new manufactured, steel cased Romanian' surplus turning up. I haven't tried it yet as I have a load of Yugo left (and I roll my own)

I was able to find plenty of bulk Yugo ex-mil 8mm ammo for sale in the USA with a quick google search.
