Hi there I have a friend who has an old turkish forestry carbine that he wants to shoot. Ive gone over it and given it a good cleaning and she is in real nice shape.

I know privi makes some but cant find it at any dealers, DOes anyone know where I could get a box ?

Cheers, McLean

I think Prvi makes it but I don't think it is avaliable in Canada so you have to hand load your own batch.

Don't bother with surplus 8mm Lebel. Not only is it hard to find now, I have heard it is terribly unreliable to try to shoot.

If you do find a source, let me know, as I have my Forestry carbine and want to try her out.

Don't forget about the three round en-bloc clip. I think you could also use a 5 round clip but it will project out of the bottom of the magazine.

Yes, it is old and very unreliable, if the primer won't fire the powder is decaying o into dust.... Too many original rounds seen and gone by.

Reloading is the only way.... 180 gr .323 dia bullet loaded with any modern powder. The 8mm lebel is as powerful as the 8x57IS and is not that difficult to do.

8 mm Lebel....

I use 348 winchester to reform and cut the lenght before then 8 mm Lebel case was in the market

So i buy a form die and a correct set of die of 8 mm Lebel....

Amazing to use a old gun.....

with fresh ammo

Reloading is the only way like then for the 11 mm Gras -11 mm Mauser-450/577 Marini-Henry

Somone want to buy a Rolling Block wiht a set of die and some case???:p
